Who I Am
I am registered Chinese Australian psychologist based in Sydney, Australia. My family immigrated to Australia when I was 8 and I have been fortunate to receive both a western education and eastern upbringing - the main reason why I can speak both English and Cantonese. I also identify as a gay man however that is not all of who I am. I am an avid lover of sports and fitness, and a strong advocate for ensuring balance & wellbeing in life - whether it be physical, mental, financial & social.
I began being interested in psychology since my high school days and have pursued this passion all the way. I use evidence-based therapy techniques which have strong research backing its effectiveness including:
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT)
Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT)
Gottman’s methods for couples
I love to learn and to create a safe space for my clients to talk and work together to find a solution to their concerns, focus on what they can control and find the next best steps for their own life journey.
I have a busy schedule and found that many of my fellow friends & acquaintances could not find a good time and/or location to undertake therapy in person. I decided to create this website so people are able to access counselling online outside of the usual 9-5 working hours from anywhere in the world.
